Privacy policy

Last updated: June 30, 2026 · Effective: June 30, 2026

This privacy policy describes what information Boise Business Portal ("we," "us," "our") collects when you visit boisebusinessportal.com or any of its subdomains, how we use it, and the choices you have. We try to keep this short and plainly written; if anything is unclear, email us and we'll explain.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to operate the site and respond to inquiries.

  • Information you give us. When you fill out a consultation request, contact form, or other input on the site, we receive whatever you typed into it — typically your name, email, phone number, business name, and a short description of what you need.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data: IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referring URL, and browser user agent. These logs are used to investigate errors and abuse; we do not link them to individuals unless required to investigate a specific incident.
  • Aggregate traffic data. We may use privacy-preserving analytics to count visits per page. This does not track individuals across sessions or sites.

What we don't collect

  • We do not set advertising cookies.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.
  • We do not embed cross-site trackers or social-network beacons on the main site.
  • We do not use behavioral profiling for marketing.

How we use it

  • To respond to your inquiry and (if you choose) deliver the website services you've requested.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the site — e.g., investigating an error from a server log.
  • To comply with applicable law, including Idaho state law and U.S. federal law.

How long we keep it

Inquiry data is kept for as long as our working relationship reasonably requires, and may be retained beyond that for accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes. Server logs are typically rotated within 90 days unless retained for an active investigation.

Who can see it

  • Us. The team operating Boise Business Portal.
  • Service providers we use to operate the site — our hosting and email forwarding providers, payment processors (if you pay an invoice), and similar back-office systems. These providers are bound by their own privacy obligations.
  • Law enforcement, only as required by valid legal process.

Cookies and similar technologies

The main site uses only the cookies necessary to remember your session state (for example, the search filters you've applied on the catalog page). We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Individual demo sites hosted on subdomains may use their own cookies as part of demonstrating an integration (such as Stripe checkout); these are disclosed in the demo's own context.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to legal-retention obligations.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@boisebusinessportal.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

Children

This site is intended for adults running or representing businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices change or when the law requires it. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page and, for material changes, post a notice on the homepage for at least 30 days.
